Stamping Baby

BUNDLE MONSTER has arrived baby!  So you guys may have notice that Bundle Monster has finally released their new summer plates and they are awesome. The guys behind these designs really did their homework. These plates are not only beautiful, but they are crisp and detailed. Every time I looked at a new plate I was like "wow" and "oooo." Also the plates are a really good size,  no longer do you have to have tiny sized baby nails to get full coverage. So I'm from Texas and right now we're dealing with over 100 degree weather so I wanted my design to be as hot as the weather. What do you think?

I used China Glaze Make Some Noise which is a very hot pink even though the pictures make it look more orange. The black is Konad stamping polish which I must admit is getting a tad low so if you have any ideas on a black I could replace it with I would greatly appreciate some input. Finally I used BM-323 for the rose print, so there you go ladies have fun!

Stampin' it Up

Happy Thursday everyone. I've got some light stamping work to show you today. I wanted to  get some good stamping practice in before my new plates arrive (so excited!) so this is what I came up with. The background colors are nice and soft which really makes the pattern stand out bold. Not that I'm planing on attending one anytime soon, but this would be pretty for a wedding and the color options are endless.

I used OPI Did you 'Ear about Van Gogh? which is a lovely creme nude. I haven't used this color in a while and I forgot how much I like it until today. I also used Urban Outfitters Wet which is a frosty lavender that applied like a freaken dream. The plate I used is BM11.

Fresh French

Alright short post tonight ladies I have a big BIG Bio test tomorrow so I wanted to do a quick revamp with my previous mani. I really love this color so it's a good thing I wore it on such a hectic week. I used China Glaze Liquid Leather on top of my purple polish to make a nice french. To break up the dark colors I used Milian's Art of Gold nail stripper.

So what do you think, they're like having a bit of Halloween in Summer right? Side note did anyone order the new Bundle Monster plates?!

Sweet and Simple

Hi guys!  I'm keeping it nice an simple today with this drop dead gorgeous holographic deep purple from Love & Beauty. Now I realize that these aren't the best pictures, but I just could not get these guys in a good light. Well I guess you'll just have to take my word when I say these guys are jam packed with eye catching glittery goodness. If your family with the ultra fabulous and ultra affordable Love & Beauty brand, then you'll know these polishes never really have official names and this one is no exception. It's called purple/multi so ya...there ya go.

Well ladies until next time, homework calls :(

Zebra

Hola everyone, hope you all had a lovely father's day I personally got to cook my dad a yummy dinner then send him off to the movies with my boyfriend. Aside from that I woke up the other day with nail polish on my mind, and I specifically wanted to do some color blocking with some funky zebra action. Has that ever happened to you? You just get an itch to act on some sort of polish design that's popped into your head, and you've just got to do it right then! Yes? No? I got super lucky that this idea happened to coincide with the arrival of my free Zoya trio! If you follow Zoya on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest then you may have heard of their Take Three Free code. Hopefully you guys where able to take advantage of the goodies.  Anyways this is what I came up with.

Bah damn you Seche! Why must you smear my hard work?!

As mentioned above some of the colors I used are Zoya's Kimber and Zuza, OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and Konad's black stamping polish. I also used Konad's m57 plate for the zebra design. I had a blast working on this design since it was bouncing around in my brain for a few days. I feel like having some fruit now so I'll catch you kids maƱana.

Vintage

Hi everyone! I took a slightly different approach for this post and went with a very popular YouTube polish pusher you may know as Cutepolish. She is the faceless voice that guides her more than 500,000 subscribers through some really spectacular nail art. The video that I chose to capture today can be found here.

These guys are really fun to paint and look at so I'd recommend giving them a try. The colors I used  were Essie Size Matters, Last Chance by Sinful Colors, Sage by Love & Beauty, and Blush by Love & Beauty. Love & Beauty, if you're wondering, is the line of polishes sold at Forever 21, they're about $2-$3 and come in some really great colors. The down side to this brand is like everything at Forever 21, the quality is a bit questionable so make sure you give your bottles a good shake before committing just in case.

Braid Shmaid!

Unless you've been living under a rock (that doesn't get WIFI I guess) you've probably come across Rebecca Likes Nails. She's this little gem who makes really pretty stamping and skittle manis. Now your probably thinking  I'm going to do some rendition of either her stamping or skittles work and you my friend...would be wrong. ( : Okay okay sorry. A while ago she posted this nail art and I literally saw little hearts coming out of the screen! Shortly after she being the dear that she is posted this follow up post so I got to work. I didn't go as bright with the colors and maybe that was a mistake but anyways here's what I came up with.

Ya that's a napkin...

This is a really cool technique and I had a lot of fun painting. Maybe it was my color choices or something but  I'm not too sure how I feel about these bad boys.  I used this pack of minis that I found at Urban Outfitters that claim to have a matte finish. To be honest, they don't quite reach the effect you can get with a top coat like Essie's matte about you so I went ahead and topped them off with a bit of that.  Whelp time to watch some scrubs with the bf so I'll catch you ladies soon!

Mash Up

Alright here we go again. Today I have a kind of mash up of some really cool work from the Nailasaurus! I have to be honest I love this woman. She makes everything look fantastic and easy and we all know that's not always the case. She's known for sick gradients, bitchin (lol) stud work, and general awesomeness. So I took a bit of this and a bit of that and made these.

This bad boy consists of a three color gradient, striping tape, and studs. The colors I used for the gradient are  Essie Eternal Optimist, School of Hard Rocks, and Bobbing for Baubles. Then I used China Glaze Liquid Leather to make the laser lights look. Boy trying to pose your hand for polish pictures is tricky business let me tell you! Oh well I'll just assume this a skill that will get better with time. Until next time polish fiends : )

Fresh New Start

Hi everyone, I'm pretty excited to be writing my very first post on something that I absolutely adore...NAIL POLISH! I've been following several different bloggers for a while now, for both inspiration and just to reveal in their general greatness. Now thanks to some summer down time and a gentle push from my boyfriend here I am. For my first couple of post I think I'll show my renditions of the some other very talented girls nail art. So let's get down to business. First on the list is missgoob who you can find on Instagram @missgoob and at her etsy shop

Ignore my packs of glitter in the background :)

I fell in love with the design, and it didn't hurt that this mani was pretty easy to do. I used Orly Sterling Silver Rose, Chine Glaze Liquid Leather, an unknown silver I ordered off of delias, and Seche Vite to top it all off.
